Copeland Center Summit

We will discuss the prior keynote and how it applies to participants’ understanding of voice hearing.  What does “Taking Back Our Power” mean and what is a process for doing so? Interactive exercises will be used to promote understanding of the importance of individuals accepting and making sense of voices—the use of curiosity, life story, finding meaning and taking responsibility.  We will cover the history of the Hearing Voices Movement, its principles, values, and practice.  The facilitator will describe the formation of the Montgomery County Hearing Voices Network, its mission, goals, challenges and lessons learned.    Participants will be asked to develop an action plan for their own communities and workplaces.
