The American with Disabilities Act, Supreme Court Olmstead decision, and the President’s New Freedom Commission Report have solidified community integration as a right of people with mental disabilities.  Dr. Salzer will present research on the current state of community participation, discuss frameworks for understanding how to promote community participation, and discuss emerging roles that peers are playing, and could play, in this area.
